What We Do

Sonoma Schools Alliance is a grassroots group of parents, neighbors, and community members who believe that informed, engaged citizens are the best safeguard for our children's education. You don't need to be an expert — just willing to show up and speak up.

Our Mission

We are parents, educators, and community members who believe Sonoma Valley's public schools belong to everyone. Sonoma Schools Alliance exists to keep our community informed, our school board accountable, and our students at the center of every decision.

“A quality education has the power to transform societies in a single generation, provide children with the protection they need from the hazards of poverty, labor exploitation and disease, and given them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their full potential.

  • Inspired community members to attend meetings and contact board members directly

  • Publish clear, accessible information about how the district operates and how decisions are made

  • Keep the community informed of upcoming board meetings and office hours

  • Provide summary notes from meetings for those who can't attend
